Where was I?

So, it continued.

Yes, I am back to  the hospital.

My health care team was very worried that my right leg was red and swollen. And ordered me to the hospital emergency room that afternoon. Except, when I stood up to leave, I immediately fell down, sitting on the floor.  No, I couldn’t get up.  It seems that my blood pressure was 60/30. I was feeling fine, despite that.

Today is actually Martin Luther King’s birthday.  (One of the few celebrations that are not muddied by our practice of Monday holidays.)  Had MLK not been murdered (and, of course, still alive), he would be turning  95 today.  He didn’t even live for 40 years, but he still left a huge imprint upon America,

Potomac Yards Sports Complex

Many of you know I live in Alexandria, Virginia.   And, the governor of our state (Glenn Youngkin) and our mayor (Justin Wilson) have just conspired to steal the Washington Bullets and Capitals (both owned by Monumental Sports- a Ted Leonsis entity) from the Capital Arena Washington DC to our Potomac Yards region.

What does the electric vehicle mandate mean for truckers?

It’s begun.   The California mandate (Advanced Clean Fleets Regulation, approved on 28 April 2023 by the California Air Resources Board) to only purchase tractors (the kind that haul trailers) that are powered by hydrogen or electricity.  The problem is that there are insufficient charging stations for these tractors (let alone a dearth of hydrogen fuel supply sites).
